There's something about summer light that feels different.
It lingers a little longer, hits a little softer—like everything's been washed in that warm, golden glow.
It reminds me of that 70s kind of light.
Sun pouring through the window, catching on glass, casting little reflections across the room. Slow. Easy. A little dreamy.
And then one day… that light hit stained glass in my store.
That's how this story begins.
Paul walked in like anyone else. We started talking, and somewhere in the middle of it he mentioned he had just moved here from Chicago—and that he makes stained glass.
Now, I hear a lot of things in this store. But this? This made me pause.
He came back with a few pieces, and I remember unwrapping them and just standing there for a second. The color, the detail, the way the light moved through the glass—it felt nostalgic, but not old. More like something rediscovered.
And then I held one up to the window.
That's when you really see it.
The glass isn't flat. It's alive with texture—tiny ripples, bubbles, movement inside the color itself. When the light comes through, it shifts and dances, creating this layered glow that you just can't get any other way. It's subtle, but once you see it, you can't unsee it.
I brought in a small collection, just to see.
And over the next few days leading up to Valentine's Day, they slowly disappeared. One by one, people kept picking them up, turning them toward the light, watching that texture come through—and taking them home. Until suddenly… they were gone.
That's when you know.

Now we're stepping into summer, and it feels like these pieces were always meant for this season. New cactus designs, glowing suncatchers, and the most beautiful panels hanging in the window, catching every bit of light that comes through. Morning light, afternoon glow, golden hour—it all hits differently.
These are the pieces that don't just sit in a space—they change it.
That's always been the goal at Twirls + Twigs. Not just to fill the store, but to find things that make you slow down. Things that make you look twice. Things that feel like you found something you weren't even looking for.
And there's something deeper here, too. A maker who just arrived. A conversation that turned into a collection. Watching his work connect with people in real time. It's that kind of small, meaningful moment that reminds me why I love this.
These pieces feel thoughtful without trying too hard. They're the kind of gift you give when you want something different. A little unexpected. A little more personal. Or honestly… something you keep for yourself because it just makes your space feel better.
We're heading into a season where light matters. Where windows are open, days stretch longer, and the smallest details shift the entire mood of a room.
This is one of those details.
The collection is available now, in-store and online, with pieces ranging from $36 to $150. Like most good things around here, quantities are limited.
Because when something is made by hand, with intention, and full of that kind of light—you don't rush it.
You just let it glow.
Born in the Valley. Wrapped in Gratitude.
